What is a VLCC Ship?
VLCC stands for Very Large Crude Carriers (VLCC). VLCCs are a type of oil tanker designed to carry vast quantities of crude oil from oil-rich regions to refineries worldwide, often serving long-haul routes. They are extremely large (200,000 to 320,000 DWT) and can carry up to 2 million barrels of oil. It includes a double-hull construction feature which adds an extra layer of protection to reduce the risk of oil spills and protect the marine environment
